Why You Wearing That?!?

I am a bracelet guy.
I am a jewelry guy.
Silver is my favorite. Relatively affordable and goes with a lot of styles. Stainless steel is nice. However, resale value is important to me, and it seems difficult to re-sale steel in a pinch. Copper is cool and has a nice warmth look to it. Gold is forever the standard for things nice and shiny.
Jewelry is a reflection of the person. Whether wearing a little or a lot, there is usually a reason. It could be that little friendship bracelet from camp, a silver wedding ring, class ring (or rings, some have more than one to choose from), or a replica championship ring, each piece has a story, a reason.
You may even feel empowered when you wear it (like the Green Lantern). This is the reason why we wear that ring, that watch, that bracelet. That frivolous, or serious, or nostalgic reason.
So, why do you wear what you wear? Do you wear anything? If not, why? If so, why? Whatever the reason, the jewelry you wear is an extension of you, your personality, what you project. It's your look, your style.
Nowadays, I have become rather selective. When I buy something it has to speak to me. This cuts down on frivolous purchases (but then, that's a worthwhile reason, right?). I buy jewelry that reminds me of that vacation, that trip to the beach, or when I graduated from college.
Also, it builds confidence (back to that Green Lantern ring), which can help you be your best self for other people. Conversations and connections can be made over a nice watch, bracelet, or ring.
Well enough of about me. So tell me, why you wearing that?
Thank you for your time.
